• Workshops

  Workshops are designed to provide students in-depth coverage of content areas for each specific test, as well as address issues beyond content, such as test anxiety and lack of confidence. Students will be given tools to deal with the academic as well as the mental and emotional challenges that come along with testing. Our classes are intended to take the edge off of the sometimes harsh world of testing and ease them into their preparation with confidence and success. On a broader level, these classes are designed not only to prepare students for taking one test specifically, but also to provide a foundation for a future of successful test taking. We host ISEE, HSPT, and SAT workshops for students across Los Angeles County.

• Test Preparation Tutoring

  One-on-one tutoring is the best way to personalize and maximize a student’s learning experience. Students can participate in tutoring in combination with any of our classes or opt for tutoring on its own. We offer tutoring for the ISEE, HSPT, SAT, ACT, and several other tests. Test preparation tutoring is specialized to help students achieve their maximum score improvement. Students will focus on the areas of the test that are most difficult for them based on the data we receive before the first session. We offer tutoring for most tests K-12.

• Academic Tutoring

  We provide tutoring for nearly every subject and grade. At Unlocking Potential, we understand that each student is unique and requires a different approach. We consult with you to find out all relevant information, including social and emotional factors, that will help to pair your child with the best possible tutor. Out tutors are experienced educators with expertise in their subject areas. We will work with your child to develop a program that best addresses their areas of need based on our initial assessments.

• Proctored Practice Test

  Practice tests are the single most effective factor in exam preparation. At Unlocking Potential, we believe that practice makes perfect…or at least improvement! Mock exams are an essential part of our curriculum, and we offer scoring and score interpretation for families who want to get the most value out of these tests. We also offer local proctored exams in the Los Angeles area and have the capability to set them up in other locations for a group of 10 students or more. Our class instructors and tutors utilize these tests as tools to increase the effectiveness of their sessions and focus on the areas that need the most attention.
